Dr. John R. Russell, D.O.

Dr. Russell grew up in Sedalia, Missouri and graduated from Smith Cotton High School.  He attending college at Avila University on a soccer scholarship and went on to attend medical school at the University of Health Sciences (currently known as Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences).  In 1988, he graduated with a degree in Osteopathic Medicine and went on to do his residency in Internal Medicine at Deaconess Hospital at St. Louis University School of Medicine.  He is a certified internist by the American Board of Internal Medicine and practices in a private office in North Kansas City, Missouri where he has been for the past 8 years.

Dr. Russell and his wife of 29 years have lived in the Kansas City community for the past 25 years; he has 5 children whose ages range from 14 to 27.  Dr. Russell is an avid soccer fan and supports many teams in Kansas City, from private club teams to professional teams.

In March 2007 Dr. Russell noticed a growing trend in tattoo regret and the need for a solution. In response to this trend he decided to purchase a cosmetic laser for tattoo removal and editing; a Q-switched nd: YAG laser.  To date, we have performed hundreds of laser treatments on patients from every walk of life.  Our success in removing tattoos has been incredible and very inspiring.  We have observed not only the physical transformation of our patients but also the mental and emotional transformation as their regret fades with the ink of their tattoos.  Unfortunately, many people feel that tattoo removal is either too painful or too expensive, but this is not the case.  Dr. Russell is committed to providing inexpensive tattoo removal with a limited level of discomfort performed by a board certified physician to anyone with tattoo regret.
